»The Unknown Extermination Camp at Chełmno nad Nerem – History and Remembrance«

On December 8, 1941, the SS in Kulmhof am Ner (Chesmno nad Nerem) murdered people with engine exhaust fumes. This day marks the beginning of the Nazi mass killing of European Jews by poison gas. The exhibition is dedicated to this unknown place of extermination and to commemorating the more than 150,000 victims, including over 2,600 Jews from Berlin. It also shows which traces can still be discovered today.
