On 27 January 2020, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp, the Foundation Memorial will commemorate the memorials it oversees together with initiators, partners, supporters and companions of all victims of Nazi terror.
In the jubilee year, 75 years after the end of the Second World War, the aim is to remember the millions of people murdered and to take on the responsibilities that are born to all of us in history.
Starting at 10 a.m. at the Holocaust Memorial, flowers, wreaths and candles (please only windlights and protected candles) can be brought and laid.
The candles are intended to make the Holocaust Memorial and the other places of remembrance part of the nationwide »Lighting call« of all memorials on the occasion of the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Holocaust.
