In September last year, the aid network launched the sponsorship program . Shortly before the winter and the Russian attacks on critical infrastructure, they began this continuous support and were able to respond to the humanitarian emergency at an early stage. Thanks to the donations for the sponsorships, the aid network is currently able to support 135 Nazi survivors with the equivalent of 40 euros per month.
This aid reaches people in various regions of Ukraine, including 68 Nazi survivors living in the severely war-torn Mykolaiv, Donetsk, Kherson and Kharkiv regions. The sponsorships support Nazi survivors who have no family support or who are in a particularly precarious situation for other reasons.
Support sought for 14 more sponsorships
The long-term effects of the war are becoming increasingly clear: many of the Nazi survivors suffer from chronic illnesses, and the psychological burden is also noticeably increasing. The sponsorships will close some of the gaps that have arisen as a result of the war, for example in terms of care. However, they are not only a financial, but also a moral support.
Another 14 people are currently still on our waiting list, for whom the aid network is looking for sponsors. From 10 euros per month, you can donate to the sponsorship fund and help in a very personal way.
