On February 21, 2025, around 6 PM, a man was seriously injured with a sharp object in the field of stelae at the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe.
The attacked person was taken to a hospital by emergency services. According to the latest police information, the man, a Spanish tourist, is no longer in life-threatening condition. His condition is stable. The suspected perpetrator has already been arrested. Currently, police investigations are ongoing at the scene and into the background of the perpetrator.
Exhibition beneath the field of stelae remains closed today (February 22, 2025)
Due to yesterday’s incident in the field of stelae of the Holocaust Memorial and the ongoing investigations at the scene, the exhibition beneath the field of stelae will remain closed.
We ask for your understanding. We expect that the exhibition will be able to reopen tomorrow (February 23, 2025) from 10 AM.
