On June 24, 2024, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster visited the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe. The governor and his delegation arrived at the Holocaust Memorial at 10:30 a.m. They were welcomed by Britta Klaff, speaker at the monument.
Upon arrival, Henry McMaster and Britta Klaff went to the Field of Stelae, where the governor laid a wreath. After walking through the field of stelae, he also visited the exhibition under the stelae. Starting with the timeline, the overview of the National Socialist terror policy against Jews from 1933 to 1945, McMaster, led by Britta Klaff, dealt in detail and intensively with the different contents of the four thematic rooms, Room of Dimensions, Room of Families, Room of Names, Room of Place, of the exhibition.
Finally, he signed the guestbook of the monument.
